June 26, 1950 - Oct. 3, 2013
GRANGER — Joel M. Foster, 63, was called home Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013.
Born June 26, 1950, he was the son of the late J.F. and Ola (Fussee) Foster.
He was also preceded in death by two siblings, Robert Mac and Margie Foster.
On Oct. 19, 1974, Joel married the love of his life, Sherry Arnold. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Ruth (Matthew) Plank of Granger; son Clint (Janelle) Foster of South Bend; brother Earl (Mary Jane) Foster of Florida; and two grandchildren, Asher and Josiah Plank.
Joel was a kind, compassionate, selfless and humorous man who loved his family and his Lord more than anything. He had many hobbies, including camping, hunting, golfing and simply spending time with his family. His favorite adventure was when he and Sherry flew over the top of “his mountain” Denali (Mount McKinley). He actively served at Granger Missionary Church as well as Prairie Camp. His servant heart has touched many lives and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Granger Missionary Church, with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, also at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you please consider making a donation in Joel’s name to Granger Missionary Church or to Prairie Camp.
