June 30, 1942 - Aug. 12, 2013
CASSOPOLIS, Mich. — Louise Ann (Kannenberg) Hambright, 71, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Monday morning, Aug. 12, 2013, at her son’s residence in the presence of her family.
Louise was born June 30, 1942, in Allmakee County, Iowa, to William and Roberta (Sires) Kannenberg.
She married Maurice Henry Hambright on May 23, 1964, in Dowagiac. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2005.
Louise was a kind and giving person. She always thought more of giving to others than she did for herself. She liked spending time with her family and was never angry at anyone. She loved baseball and NASCAR, and even predicted the latest winner. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary, to send a card or to make a phone call.
Louise liked watching fireworks. She traveled cross-county in a semi. She liked yard sales and has something from every yard sale she’s ever been to. Louise created more memories than could possibly be listed here. Louise will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Sarah (Grover) Nelson of Bristol, Ind.; one son, Mark (April) Hambright of Bristol; four grandchildren, Wayne Bennett of Elkhart, Ind., Devin McNeal and Keelan McNeal, both of Bristol and Bridget Merritt of Bristol; two sisters, Jane (Jim) Adkins of Edwardsburg and Karen (Phil) Raymond of Buchanan; three brothers, Tom Kannenberg of Three Rivers, John (Mary) Kannenberg of Niles and Richard Kannenberg of Cassopolis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 N. Broadway St., Cassopolis, with a funeral service Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 at 11 a.m., with Joel Irvin officiating. Mrs. Hambright will be laid to rest beside her late husband in Sumnerville Cemetery, Sumnerville.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Boys Town, 14100 Crawford St., Boys Town, NE 68010.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
