ELKHART — Dennis “Denny” Ellsworth, 57, of Elkhart, passed away Aug. 8, 2013, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born to Lee Jr. and Mary (Duam) Ellsworth.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Living Faith Fellowship, 2601 Benham Ave., Elkhart. Joe Turnpaugh will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral.
Denny was born in Albany, Ga., on Sept. 20, 1955. He attended Memorial High School. Denny was married to Peggy (Fletcher) on Jan. 29, 1977. They were married 36 years.
Denny worked in the van conversion industry for most of his life. Denny enjoyed being outdoors and working in the yard. He was a handyman who could fix anything. He loved riding his Harley. Most of all, he loved being with his family.
Denny is survived by his loving family, wife Peggy of Elkhart; son Dustin (Jessica) of Elkhart; daughter Shauna of Indianapolis; grandchildren Tomas and Kadin; brother Victor (Carol) of Ider, Ala.; sister Tonya (Dave) VanderReyden of Elkhart; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Denny was preceded in death by his father, mother and two brothers, Ronald and Larry Ellsworth.
Donations may be given to the family for expenses. Flowers may be sent to the church the day of the funeral. The family of Denny wishes to thank the American Cancer Society and the Brian Parker Memorial Foundation.
