ELKHART — Mary Kay Frederick, 98, of Elkhart, died July 2, 2013, at Rosewood House II in Dunedin, Fla.
Mary was born on Aug. 24, 1914, in Elkhart to Christopher and Irma (Shasberger) Wagner.
She married Richard J. Frederick on Sept. 8, 1934. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2001.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Susan Kay Glaser (David) of Dunedin; grandchildren Mandy Glaser of South Bend, Molly Glaser of Florida and Michelle Hanway (Brad) of Florida; great-granddaughter Grayce Hanway of Florida; and sister-in-law Betty Wiley of Elkhart.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, where she sang in the choir and was in the Altar Guild. She was a member of Elks Ladies and the Married Women’s Club. Mary was an avid bridge player. She volunteered at the election polls for 65 years, and delivered Meals On Wheels.
A memorial Mass will be at noon Sunday, July 21, at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, with placement of remains in Christ the King Columbarium to follow. Father Daniel Repp will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church.
