SYRACUSE — Howard E. “Harv” Sellers, 87, died Sunday afternoon, July 7, 2013, in his home with his wife, his dog, Riley, and his caretaker, Cathy Flinckinger, by his side.

He was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Maplewood, Ohio, to Roy J. and Loretta (Griffin) Sellers. On July 4, 1982, he married Karen Linville in Las Vegas.

She survives along with three daughters, Susan McClish and Debra I. Kuhn, both of Syracuse, and Christine A. “Tina” (Robert) Reid of Goshen; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, LoaAnn Dahl of Syracuse and Barbara (Sam) Bontrager of Lake Wales, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Ruth Sellers; a son, Larry Sellers; a daughter, Kathy Sellers; stepson Mikel Peters; three brothers, Marvin, Jesse and Charles Sellers; and a sister, Glendora Madlem.

Mr. Sellers was a longtime area resident and owner of Sellers Manufacturing Inc. from 1962-2010.

Friends may visit with family from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home prior to the 6 p.m. memorial service led by Anjenette Hasse. His body will be cremated.
