ELKHART — Bonnie Anna Dinehart, 93, of Elkhart, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Greenleaf Health Campus.

She was born Jan. 18, 1920, in Elkhart to Frank and Matlida (Clausen) Hart. On June 11, 1941, in Elkhart, she married Leonard E. Dinehart. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1998, in Elkhart.

Surviving are a daughter, Sue Ann Dinehart of Elkhart; one son, Michael L. (Pamela) Dinehart of Macon, Ga.; and two grandsons, Nathan Michael Dinehart and Nicholas Paul Dinehart. Also surviving are three nephews and one niece.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Bonnie graduated from Elkhart High School in 1938. She was employed as a secretary at C.G. Conn Ltd. In 1955 she worked as an executive secretary at Williams Products. She retired in 1982 and later was employed as a corporate secretary and vice president at Chemcraft.

Bonnie was a former member of the national Secretaries Association, Married Women’s Club, Business Women’s Association, American Legion Auxiliary, Four Lakes Country Club, Women of the Moose, AARP and First United Methodist Church in Elkhart. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, watching sports on TV and spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Friends may call for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jim Fookes of Hillcrest United Methodist Church will officiate. Entombment will follow in Rice Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
