NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — Carl W. Yaddow, 83, of North Charleston, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Charleston.
Born March 19, 1930, in Elmira, N.Y., he was the son of the late John and Alta Yaddow and the late Vida M. McDowell.
His wife, Barbara J. Yaddow, preceded him in death.
Carl retired as a senior manufacturing engineer with Black and Decker, and moved to North Charleston. He spent his retirement helping everyone as the “Tool Man” at Lowe’s in West Ashley. He was an avid woodcrafter, knife maker and cook.
He is survived by his brother, Paul Hunt; former wife, Patricia Yaddow; children, Kathy (Tom) Canarecci of Mishawaka, Ind., Carl “Bud” Jr. (Rosemarie) Yaddow of Asheboro, N.C., Eric (Karen) and Jeff (Angie) Yaddow, both of Elkhart, Ind., Patsy (Gary) Newman of Goshen, Ind., Kathy (Paul) Nagle, Pam Scott and Edie (Dave) Thompson; 23 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
