GOSHEN — Thomas Nettrouer, 73, Goshen, died Monday, April 29, 2013, in his residence.
He was born Dec. 9, 1939, in Nappanee to Clarence and Helen (Weyant) Nettrouer.
He married Doreen (Robinson) Nettrouer on March 26, 1971.
Surviving are his wife, Doreen; children Tina (Paul) Kohler of Goshen, Timothy Ray Nettrouer of Goshen, Thomas (Geraldine) Nettrouer of Elkhart, Matthew Charles (Bernice) Nettrouer of Goshen and Jason Michael Nettrouer of Goshen; sister Linda (Duane) Zoerhof of New Zeeland, Mich.; brothers Richard (Carolyn) Nettrouer, Robert Nettrouer and James L. (Patricia) Nettrouer, all of Goshen, and Jerry L. (Evelyn) Nettrouer of New Paris; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a son, Christopher Aaron Nettrouer.
Thomas was a heavy equipment operator for the state for 10 years and for Goshen City for 22 years. He was a member of the Civil Defense and enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening and spending time with his grandkids.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, where the service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013. Pastor Jim Breniser will officiate. Burial will be in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery.
