COPLEY, Ohio — Miriam “Mim” Miller, 78, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Legacy Living LLC, Copley.

Miriam was born Dec. 6, 1934, in Elkhart County, Ind., to Ervin W. and Ruth Stealy Boyer, where she grew up and married Elmer D. Miller on Aug. 24, 1952, at Belmont Mennonite Church in Elkhart. The Millers lived in the Michiana area from 1955 to 1971.

Survivors include her brother, Stanley W. Boyer of Cross Plains, Wis.; daughter Marilyn A. Miller Henderson of Hagerstown, Md.; son Arthur W. Miller of Norton; daughter Sandra K Miller Meisinger of Winchester, Va.; daughter Lisa Miller of Hesston, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer D. Miller in 1996, and her parents.

Miriam retired from her role as church coordinator at Sunnyslope Mennonite Church, Phoenix, Ariz., in 2002. She was active in their ministry for homeless men, House of Refuge-Sunnyslope, as long as she was able.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, in Norton, at Calvary Chapel of Akron, 629 Wesleyan Ave., Barberton, Ohio.
