NAPPANEE — Junior Elliott, 86, of Nappanee, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 2, 1926, in Wynne, Ark., to the late Nute and Gertrude Elliott.
Junior is survived by his loving wife, Q.T. Elliott of Nappanee; children Faye Roush of Bremen and John (Teresa) and Ronnie Elliott, both of Nappanee; 17 grandchildren; 40 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by a brother, Cecil (Red); sisters Marie and Bootsey; sons Donald and Bobby; and daughter Janie (Freese).
In 1978 he moved to Texas and then moved back to Indiana in November 2012.
Junior worked as an auto mechanic, working at Pletcher Motors and Bob’s Ford, both of Nappanee. He enjoyed fishing, listening to country music and working on anything automotive. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served in Guam.
Junior requested no funeral or memorial service; those wishes will be honored.
Memorial donations may be given to the Center for Hospice.
