BOURBON — Robert “Dennis” Rhea, 67, of Bourbon, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
He was born in Riverton, Wyo., on April 24, 1945. On Aug. 26, 1967, he married Mary Purdum.
Dennis was a Seabee in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of Camp Creek Church of the Brethren, Nappanee.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Rhea of Bourbon; daughters Denise Clark of Nappanee and Catherine Ann (Jason) Rinehart of Eugene, Ore.; son Robert Dennis Rhea Jr. of Pittsburg, Kan.; grandchildren Samantha, Felisha, Joshua, Hayley, McKenzie, Kaitlyn and Nicholas; great-grandchild Emma; mother Catherine Rhea of Freeport, Maine; brother Rick Rhea of Freeport; and sisters Janine (Hank) Clemmons of Oregon, Wis., and Caroline (Charlie) McLaren of Kelseyville, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive father, William, and a sister, Terri Dickenson.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Camp Creek Church of the Brethren, Nappanee, where a funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2.
