WAKARUSA — Mary L. Blucker, 95, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, died at 6:33 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at her residence from natural causes.

She was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Milford to Reuben and Fannie (Farmwald) Yoder. On June 28, 1939, she married Martin J. Blucker in Warsaw. He preceded her in death Dec. 20, 1997.

Mary lived her lifetime in this area. She was a homemaker and loved baking and crocheting. She was a member of North Main Street Mennonite Church.

Surviving are her sons, Dale (Pat) Blucker and Lonnie (Connie) Blucker, both of Nappanee; daughter-in-law Joyce Blucker of Nappanee; grandchildren Terri Huber, Dean (Julie) Blucker, Sheri (Peter) Morey, Robert (Chanelle) Blucker and Jennifer (Rick) Schwartz; 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Verna (Ervin) Miller of Bourbon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Gene Blucker; six sisters, Laura Mast, Ada Chupp, Elizabeth Stoltfus, Alma Slabaugh, Katie Hershberger and Inez Stutzman; and a brother, Melvin Yoder.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Family and friends may meet at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, to proceed to Union Center Cemetery, east side of C.R. 11, for a 1 p.m. burial. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at North Main Street Mennonite Church. The Rev. Ruben Chupp will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to North Main Street Mennonite Church or The Center for Hospice Care.
