BRONSON, Mich. — Patti K. Schell, 60, of Bronson, formerly of Edwardsburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, in Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Oct. 23, 1952, in Chicago to Floyd W. and Edna L. (Garre) Schell.
Surviving are two sisters, Joan Janes of Pentwater and Cindy (Larry) Kimes of Bristol, Ind.; three brothers, Garre Schell of Bristol, Edward (Gale) Schell of Glendale Heights, Ill. and Peter (Crystal) Schell of Stafford, Va.; two stepsons, Rick and Ray Wielgos of Bristol; six stepgrandchildren; eight nephews; and six nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Floyd, Charles and Clyde Schell; a niece, Misschell; and her companion of 24 years, Mike Wielgos.
Patti was a homemaker and volunteered at her church in Arizona for nine months. She enjoyed traveling and was a loved aunt and great-aunt. She loved to be called “GAP.”
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bristol. Father Bob VanKempen will officiate.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
