ELKHART -- Amanda Sue Arnett, 23, of Elkhart, passed away at 10:25 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 13, 2011) in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, after a brief illness.
Amanda was born in Elkhart on Jan. 8, 1988, to Mitchell and Amy (Middaugh) Arnett. She had attended Elkhart Memorial High School. Amy was a talented artist who loved to draw, do photography and spend time with family and friends. She was a book collector and enjoyed reading.
She is preceded in death by her Grandma and Grandpa Cataldo. Surviving are her parents, Mitchell and Amy Arnett of Elkhart; her brother, Danny Arnett of Elkhart; Grandma Diana of Elkhart; Grandpa Jerry of Elkhart; Grandma Jackie of Bristol; Grandpa Bob of Elkhart; Uncle Mike of Elkhart; Aunt Pam and Uncle Steve of Elkhart; Aunt Pat and Uncle Chuck of South Bend; Aunt Vicki and Uncle Bill of Elkhart; Aunt Kathy and Uncle Dan of Texas; Aunt Janet and Aunt Jackie of Elkhart; Aunt Shannon of Warsaw; cousins Angie, Heather, Dustin and Britney; Aunt Joanie; and her friends, Tiffany, Shannon and family of Elkhart.
Services for Amanda will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, with Pastor Louanne G. Dunn officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at the funeral home in Elkhart. Burial will take place privately at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with final arrangements. Elkhart Cremation Service with Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Amanda.
