NOTRE DAME — Everett Golson may be back on campus in the next two weeks.

Head coach Brian Kelly said he was told the exiled quarterback will be re-admitted to Notre Dame Dec. 13, according to ESPN.com.

“I’ve been assured that based upon all of the information that has been provided that he’s going to be readmitted on Dec. 13, and that information has been provided to admissions,” Kelly told ESPN. “It’s just a matter of them sending out the admittance letter and then being back on campus sometime around the 15th of December.”

Golson, who led Notre Dame to a 12-1 record and a BCS National Championship Game appearance, was suspended after what he called “poor academic judgement.” Golson eventually admitted that he cheated on an exam.

Golson will not be able to practice with Notre Dame (8-4) as the team prepares for a bowl game and he will not be permitted to travel with the team for the bowl game.

Golson passed on an opportunity to play at a junior college this fall, instead electing to train with quarterback coach George Whitfield in Chicago.
