Power restored for most Goshen customers

As of 10:25 p.m., only three NIPSCO customers are without power in Goshen after thunderstorms moved through Elkhart County on Tuesday afternoon.

Almost 2,000 NIPSCO customers are without power in Goshen after thunderstorms moved through Elkhart County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to an outage map from NIPSCO, 3 Goshen customers were without power at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19. There were also 74 Bristol customers without power.

According to an outage map from Indiana Michigan Power, zero in Elkhart County and 3,063 in St. Joseph County customers were without power as of 10:20 p.m.

The severe thunderstorm watch has been lifted for Elkhart and St. Joseph counties, according to the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana.

There were reports of downed trees on U.S. 20 between C.R. 33 and 35, S.R. 119 north of C.R. 13, C.R. 4 north of C.R. 35 and C.R. 24 between C.R. 41 and 43, according to emergency dispatchers. There was also a report of a downed tree on a Ford F-150 truck at 711 McDonald St. and a downed power line at 3011 Belvedere Road.
