Weekly weather forecast for Elkhart County, June 1

We’re not going to get a lot of sunshine this week, and you may want to ready your umbrellas for some rain.

Pack the shades in and prepare an umbrellas. The clouds won’t seem to go away for most of the coming week, and there may even be some rain and thunderstorms. Expect temperatures in the low 80s and high 50s throughout the week.

FORECAST: Monday will be mostly cloudy with a likely chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 a.m. There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation with possible rainfall amounts between a quarter and half an inch. Southwest winds will reach speeds of 15 mph and gusts could be as high as 25 mph. These conditions will continue into Monday night with rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. There may be higher amounts during thunderstorms.

FORECAST: Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy.

FORECAST: Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Wednesday night will continue to be mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

FORECAST: Thursday will be partly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Thursday night will be mostly cloudy.
