Temperature in South Bend reaches record high

Temperatures in South Bend reached a record high of 91 degrees on Thursday, May 8, breaking its previous record of 90 set in 1896, as reported by the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana.

Goshen reached a high of 89 degrees. The record high temperature for the Maple City was 104, which was set on July 6 and 7, 2012. There are no recorded temperatures for the city of Elkhart.

The weekend is predicted to be a little cooler, with high temperatures in the low-70s on Saturday, May 10, and mid- to upper-70s on Sunday, May 11.
