Wind chill advisory issued through Wednesday morning

The National Weather service warns wind chills could dip as low as -20 early Wednesday morning.

ELKHART COUNTY – The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana issued a wind chill advisory late Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 25, that will last through Wednesday morning.

An arctic front is expected to move across the area, bringing wind chills between -10 and -20 in its wake. The advisory will be in effect from midnight until 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The weather service warns wind chills this low could result in frostbite in as little as 30 minutes.

The advisory was issued for Elkhart, LaPorte and St. Joseph counties, among others.
