Penn coach named state girls swimming and diving coach of the year
MISHAWAKA — Penn High School's Jess Preston has been named by the National Federation of High School Association's as the Indiana State Coach of the Year for girls swimming and diving in 2013.
Preston led the 2012-13 Kingswimmin to a state runner-up finish with sectional and Northern Indiana Conference titles and a 13-0 dual record.
The 38-year-old is currently in his sixth season as boys and girls head coach at Penn. The 1994 Elkhart Central High School graduate was a swimmer and captain at Ball State University.
Preston will be back at the IHSAA State Finals in Indianapolis again this weekend.
