IUSB to stream TEDx talk on sustainability

On Saturday, March 1, IUSB will present a combination of streamed talks and live presentations from local figures in sustainability.

SOUTH BEND – Indiana University South Bend will stream a live webcast of “Changing the Way We Eat,” a TEDxManhattan talk on sustainability, on Saturday, March 1.

The free event will be from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Education and Arts Building, room 1011. 

Speakers with backgrounds in food, farming and sustainability will discuss what’s happening in their field. During breaks in the webcast, local cooks, farmers and food activists will give presentations on sustainability in Michiana.

Speakers include Judith Rubleske, president of Kankakee Wetlands Organic Gardens; Alex Smith, manager of Elkhart’s Rise Up Farms; and Sara Lowe, founder of Michiana Yardeners.

TEDx talks are independently organized events with guidance from the TED Conference.

IUSB is located at 1700 W. Mishawaka Ave, South Bend.
