Goshen High School's percussionists headed to the world championships

After winning the state championships this weekend, Goshen High School's winter percussion group will compete at the world championships in Ohio.

Goshen High School's winter percussion group laid the beat down on the competition at the state championships this weekend.

The concert group won first place at the Indiana Percussion Association's state finals on Saturday, March 22, at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis.

They scored 92.85 points, outscoring the 11 other teams in the Scholastic Concert Open Class (PSCO) division.

Fairfield High School placed 10th in the competition with 78.275 points.

In a few weeks, Goshen High School's percussion group will be one of nine from Indiana schools competing in the PSCO division of the 2014 Winter Guard International Percussion World Championships. The contest will take place April 10-12 in Dayton, Ohio.
