GOSHEN — An interim leadership plan for the Goshen College athletics department was announced Thursday, June 26.
Josh Gleason was named interim athletic director, Josh Keister associate athletic director and Doug Yoder was added to the leadership team.
Gleason had had been assistant athletic director for communications. Keister adds his new title to his duties as director of the Recreation-Fitness Center. Yoder is also the Maple Leafs' head cross country and track and field coach,
The interim plan is slated for the entire 2014-15 academic year. The leadership "team" model will allow the athletic department to move forward most efficiently by effectively sharing the work load.
Gleason will oversee compliance, human resources, and student services. Keister will be in charge of indoor and outdoor facilities, as well as take the lead in event management, while Yoder's experience will be vital in a number of other administrative roles.
