GOSHEN – A former Goshen College student has been named to Forbes’ 30 under 30 list — again.

James “J” Sider is founder and CEO of BandPage, an online platform for musicians to connect with their fans.

This year he made Forbes’ 30 under 30 list in the music category for the third year in a row alongside industry heavyweights like Rihanna, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars.

When Sider was 19 he was diagnosed with lymphoma, according to a press release from Goshen College. Part of the reason he chose to attend Goshen College was its proximity to IU Health Goshen Hospital.

When his cancer went into remission in 2005, he decided to pursue his dreams, the release says. In 2009 he launched the start-up that would become BandPage, which now has more than half a million musicians as users, Forbes reports.
