GOSHEN — Potter Scott Dooley has been chosen as the Goshen College art department’s 2014 Eric Yake Kenagy Visiting Artist.
Dooley will give a public lecture at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in the Administration Building, room 28. A reception will follow in room 20.
Dooley graduated from Bethel College in 1993 with majors in history, philosophy and German. After college, he worked for a production potter for a year and then moved to Arizona, where he attended Arizona State University and pursued art.
Works by Dooley have been shown across Europe, Asia, Australia and the United States. His work has been used in ceramics textbooks and periodicals, and several international museums have included his art in their permanent collections.
The Eric Yake Kenagy Visiting Artist Program is in honor of Eric Yake Kenagy, a ceramics student at Goshen College from 1984 until his death in 1986.
