Elkhart Central kids raise $3,740 for Riley Hospital for Children in dance marathon

    More than 100 students danced for six hours straight this weekend, raising $3,740.20 for Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.

    ELKHART — Some local students put their dance skills to work this weekend to raise money for sick kids.

    More than 100 students packed into the Elkhart Central High School gymnasium Saturday, April 26, to participate in a dance marathon for Riley Hospital for Children.

    They raised a total of $3,740.20, according to Riley Children's Foundation. It was the fourth year for the school to host the event. To date, their dance marathons have raised $11,170 for the Indianapolis children's hospital.
