Concord boys cross country run-a-thon fundraiser slated for Aug. 15

DUNLAP — Concord High School's boys cross country team is planning a run-a-thon Friday, Aug. 15, to raise money to purchase new uniforms.

Running in sets of 5K (3.1 miles), the team goal is 300K for seven hours while collecting pledges.

Others, including coach Matt Nicoson, will do six sets or 30K by 10:30 p.m. that day. There will be a donation table at the Mishawaka-Concord football scrimmage at Jake Field.

The plan to a raise $3,000 and give 10 percent to the Concord boys tennis team's "Smash Cancer" campaign.

Check donations can be written to "Concord Athletics" with "cross country" in the memo and mailed to: Concord High School, 59117 Minuteman Way, Elkhart, IN 46517.
