Director’s comments: “I am excited about what this year has in store,” Baughman said. “We continue to grow every year and my students are working hard. We have a more challenging show than we have had in the past two years, but I know they are ready for it and are going to do a great job.”

Show Title: The Power of Green

Director’s comments: “I think there is a great deal of anticipation about the success of this year. We had a wonderful season last year, a group of really hard-working students. So far, this group seems to be committed to that same level of excellence,” Spradling said. “At the start of each summer practice, you look for signs as to how you think the group will respond. I’ve noticed a great willingness to work hard. We have a good balance of seasoned veterans and excited new members. We are also very excited about our show. This is a very exciting time of year, and we are also hopeful that the many outstanding bands in the Michiana area have great seasons.”

Director’s comments: ”We are in Class A this year, moving up from Class B the last couple years. Our show is entitled ‘Colores’ by Karl Jenkins. Our show uses color as the primary design element, including adding the ’color,’ or vocalists singing the original parts. We are definitely taking a risk by adding vocalists to our show, but are hoping that it pays off in the end,” Weimer said.
