Youth law enforcement leadership camp offered by Elkhart County Sheriff's Dept.

ELKHART — Two law enforcement leadership camps are available to students in Elkhart County this summer.

Sponsored by the Indiana Sheriff's Association, the camps will have students meet with law enforcement professionals and learn about the job through displays, career-oriented classes, an obstacle course, swimming, marching and other activities, according to a press release. 

A northern camp session will be held from June 10-13 at Pine Creek Camp, 2218 E. 700 N., Pine Village, Ind. Deputies from the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department will serve as camp counselors for this session. Applications for this session are due by June 1.

A southern session will be held from July 8-10 at Waycross Episcopal Camp, 363 Bear Creek Road, Morgantown, Ind. Applications for this session are due by July 1.

Cost to attend is $25.Students who are unable to pay may be eligible for sponsorship.
