Local high school students could benefit from a recent $150,000 grant provided by Beacon Health System and national organization Project Lead the Way, our news partner WNDU reported.

Schools in Elkhart and St. Joseph counties can apply for the grant, which would give students the opportunity to take courses in biomedical sciences beginning in fall 2014.

Our news partner WNDU said that schools will be considered for the program based on their applications to the Northern Indiana Corporate Partnership for Economic Growth.
