Stringfever returns to Lerner Theatre for encore performance

ELKHART — Stringfever, the four-man family band from Britain who performs with electrified string instruments, returned to Elkhart for their second show in two years on Saturday, April 12.

The Broadbent family quartet performed for nearly two hours Saturday night to an enthusiastic crowd at the Lerner Theatre.

The band consists of three brothers and a cousin. The show marked the final night of a 24-date tour of the United States and was the first time the brothers' parents had seen them perform in the United States, according to band member Ralph Broadbent.

The show included several original pieces written by another family member who performs with the London Symphony Orchestra. But most of the show featured medleys from classic movies and other well-known tunes.

The concert was capped with the “history of music in five minutes” and the Charlie Daniels Band’s “The Devil went down to Georgia.”
