Democratic U.S. House candidate Joe Bock has received the backing of a pro-life group in his bid for the post.
Democrats for Life of America, or DFLA, based in Washington, D.C., cited Bock’s “whole life perspective that encompasses protecting life from conception to natural death,” the group said Monday, July 28, in a press release. It also noted his support for a “living wage” for families.
“Joe shares our commitment to reducing abortion, by providing more support and options for pregnant women and also supporting working families to care for their children,” Kristen Day, the DFLA executive director, said in a statement. “He is a true whole life Democrat.”
DFLA lobbies on behalf of pro-life Democrats and promotes a pro-life plank in the Democratic Party platform.
Bock, from South Bend, is challenging one-term incumbent U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski, a GOPer, for the 2nd District U.S. House seat.
