Lucchese wins county commissioner race in 2014 Elkhart County primary

Incumbent Frank Lucchese received 7,186 votes, and challenger Rick Easton received 5,092 votes.

Frank Lucchese, Republican, has been re-elected to the Elkhart County Board of Commissioners. 

Lucchese, 48, ran against Republican Rick Easton, 58, an engineer at the Elkhart County Highway Department.

During campaigning, Lucchese focused on his experience working for the county and his handling of the ongoing effects of tax caps on the county budget.

Lucchese received 7,186 votes. He will enter his third four-year term as commissioner representing District 1.
