ELKHART — Indiana House hopeful Jesse Bohannon has garnered the endorsement of another lawmaker, Indian Rep. Jim Lucas, a Republican from Seymour.

Lucas singled out Bohannon's support for gun rights. “Not only do we need strong leaders like Jesse Bohannon to defend the 2nd Amendment, we need more leaders like Jesse, who have the passion and courage to promote gun rights," Lucas said in a statement.

Bohannon, who's now received the endorsement of four Indiana lawmakers, said he looks forward "to working with Rep. Lucas to protect and promote gun rights in our great state and nation."

Three Republicans, Bohannon, Doug Miller and Adam Bujalski, are running for the District 48 post, to be vacated by Rep. Tim Neese, who's not seeking re-election.
