GRAND MARAIS, Mich. (AP) — The Upper Peninsula’s Muskallonge Lake State Park will host its seventh annual “Rock On! With Lake Superior Agates” rock show in September.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says the event will be the weekend of Sept. 13 and 14. The show will feature presentations on Lake Superior agate, vendors and music. Visitors can also take hikes along the Lake Superior shore and learn about its shipwrecks and fish.

The park is about 28 miles northwest of Newberry on Luce County Road 407.

Admission to the show is free, but a Michigan Recreation Passport is required for vehicles entering the park.
