BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say they’ve captured a Calhoun County jail inmate who took off from the facility.

The Battle Creek Enquirer and the Kalamazoo Gazette report 40-year-old Brad L. Wolfinger was working in the garage area of the jail on Thursday afternoon when he left. Sheriff Matt Saxton says Wolfinger changed clothes and rode away on a bicycle.

Authorities found him a few hours later at a home in the St. Joseph County community of Colon, about 25 miles away.

Wolfinger was serving a sentence for larceny and was scheduled to be released on Dec. 11. He’s expected to face additional charges.
