CASCO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a 43-year man has been fatally shot during an argument about trash at a mobile home park in St. Clair County.

The sheriff’s department says a 52-year-old man who lives at Americana Estates Mobile Home Park in Casco Township pulled a handgun during the argument about 9 p.m. Wednesday and shot the other man, who also lived at the mobile home park.

The department says the man who was shot was found in the street and died at the scene. The other man was arrested and is being held, pending charges.

Sheriff Tim Donnellon tells The Detroit News that the two men had been arguing over trash in the roadway of the park.

Casco Township is located about 35 miles northeast of Detroit. The shooting is under investigation.
