MECOSTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say four men have been killed in two separate weekend vehicle crashes in mid-Michigan’s Mecosta County.
The Grand Rapids Press reports 23-year-old Adam Byberg and 22-year-old Aaron Clark died early Sunday after the vehicle they were riding in lost control and overturned several times in Sheridan Township. Sheriff’s officials say the vehicle had been passing another car at high speed when it lost control and the men were ejected.
The crash followed another in Mecosta Township on Saturday afternoon that killed an 18-year-old and 22-year-old. The Morning Sun and WPBN-WTOM report the 18-year-old driver of the sport-utility vehicle was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities say the driver didn’t stop at an intersection and was hit by a pickup truck. The pickup truck driver’s injuries weren’t life-threatening.
