State police say Chicago woman killed when semi rolls over the top of car she was passenger in

CROWN POINT, Ind. (AP) — Indiana State Police say a Chicago woman was killed and three others injured when a tractor-trailer slammed into a car stopped on the shoulder of northbound Interstate 65.

Police say 53-year-old Jacqueline Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. They say she was a passenger in the car that was struck about 10:17 p.m. Central time Friday in Crown Point. Police say the driver of the car was calling for assistance for a flat tire when the collision occurred.

Police say the car was total and the semi had about $10,000 damage.

Police are investigating the crash.
