FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — A coroner says an Allen County Jail inmate found hanged in his cell committed suicide.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Department says it is investigating the death of 48-year-old Robert Stanley Tyrrell. He was found dead in his cell Sunday night. The Journal Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1rdKxM7 ) he was set to plead guilty to a felony charge of failure to return to lawful detention in September.

The last person to commit suicide at the jail in Fort Wayne was a 46-year-old man who hanged himself in 2012.
