HUNTINGBURG, Ind. (AP) — A portion of Indiana 64 in the southwestern part of the state was closed after a truck carrying animal fat overturned.

WFIE-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1qTudyu ) that the trailer spilled about half its load of animal fat.

The driver told Dubois County sheriff’s deputies he was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision with a vehicle that was stopped and waiting to turn into a private driveway. The semitrailer went off the road and turned onto its side, spilling about half of its load alongside the highway.

Authorities say Jackson was trapped inside the truck until he was freed by rescuers. He was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
