The South Bend International Airport could be getting a face-lift soon.

South Bend’s redevelopment commission Thursday, June 26, agreed to invest $1.5 million in infrastructure at the travel hub, according to our reporting partners at WNDU.

The money will be spent on improving fencing, pavement and security. It will also go toward offering a corporate program to bring in domestic and international private jets, WNDU reports.

In April, the airport announced it was changing its name from the South Bend Regional Airport to the South Bend International Airport, and that it would soon be offering international flights.
