FORT WAYNE — The Indiana Department of Natural Resources corrected a report that said Robert Houser Jr. had died.

Houser is still in critical condition at Lutheran Hospital. The state did not explain the erroneous report from earlier Tuesday, May 13.

Indiana Conservation Officers say Houser, 26, was injured Friday when the landscaping company worker was driving a lawnmower when it slid down an embankment into a pond. A co-worker was able to free Houser from underneath the mower and start CPR. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
