For the third week in a row, Indiana State Excise Police arrested more than a dozen people for alcohol-related charges in Muncie, the home of Ball State University.

Eighteen people were arrested Saturday, Aug. 30, on preliminary charges of underage drinking while tailgating in the tailgating parking lots near Ball State’s stadium, Scheumann Stadium, according to a news release from the Indiana State Excise Police.

Last weekend, excise officers arrested 47 people on 71 charges in Muncie. That number was down from the 71 individuals who were arrested the previous weekend, just before classes began for the fall semester.
