Noble County man jailed for growing marijuana in barn

Thomas D. Royer was arrested after police discovered 300 grams of cultivated marijuana, 86 marijuana plants and growing equipment.

A Noble County man was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 27, after police found marijuana growing in a barn on his property.

Following an investigation that led to a search warrant, state and local police found about 300 grams of cultivated marijuana, 86 marijuana plants and growing equipment at a barn located in the 5900 block of S. County Road 200 E., according to a press release from the Indiana State Police.

Thomas D. Royer, 47, of rural Churubusco, Ind., was arrested and charged with dealing marijuana, a Level 6 felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony; and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.

Royer was incarcerated at the Noble County Jail.
