Indiana Toll Road eastbound lanes blocked near Elkhart after two semis crash

Both eastbound lanes have been reopened after two semis crashed near mile marker 89 around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Eastbound lanes of the Indiana Toll Road are back open Tuesday morning after emergency crews cleaned up a crash involving two semi trucks.

The two semis crashed near mile marker 89 around 5:30 a.m., according to a spokesman with the Indiana State Police. One of the semis involved was a double trailer.

The drivers of the semis were the only people involved, but the extent of their injuries is not known, the spokesman said. 

Mile marker 89 is approximately three miles west of the Elkhart exit near Cassopolis Street.
