A Mishawaka teen died after he was thrown from his vehicle in a St. Joseph County crash early Monday morning.
Anthony Ryor, 17, lost control of his vehicle on Captial Avenue between Jefferson and Lincolnway around 12:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, according to a report from the Elkhart Truth’s news partner WNDU.
Police told WSBT the car was speeding when it went off the road and flipped several times.
The Ryor was thrown from the car and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, WNDU reports.
The two passengers in the vehicle, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, told police they were heading home after seeing a movie.
Toxicology tests are pending to determine whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash and could take several weeks.
