A former Michigan teacher is facing charges related to sex crimes involving children, according to our reporting partners at WNDU.

David Duane Wing, 59, allowed a 16-year-old to engage in sexual activity to produce child sexually abusive material, according to a court affidavit.

He was arraigned Monday on four counts of criminal sexual conduct involving children, the Three Rivers Commercial-News reports.

Wing formerly taught at Three Rivers Middle School and at Constantine Riverside Elementary School, according to the Three Rivers Commercial-News.

He also once served as an administrator at Marcellus Elementary School and was a popular tennis instructor.

In addition to charges from this year, Wing faces second degree criminal sexual conduct charges from 2008 and 2009, WNDU reports.

A preliminary hearing is supposed to happen in late July.
