Reports concerning a Warsaw infant’s welfare were unfounded because the baby was actually a doll, according to Truth reporting partner WNDU.
A Super Wal-Mart employee expressed concern Saturday for the health of what looked like a baby. Warsaw police released photos, asking for the public’s help in identifying a family that left Wal-Mart with the child.
However, a source related to the family in the photos confirmed with WNDU that the baby was not a live infant but a life-like ceramic doll. The family sells dolls on eBay, WNDU reported.
The family brought the doll inside the store so passersby wouldn’t think a live infant was left in a car in the Wal-Mart parking lot, Stacey Page Online reported.
