Baby put on life support following neglect

A man was arrested after a 4-month-old girl was put on life support for neglect-related injuries, WNDU reported.

Bryan Alexander Michel, 22, was into custody by St. Joseph County Metro Homicide, Thursday evening, July 10, on preliminary charges of felony neglect, WNDU reported. If the baby dies, those charges could be upgraded, WNDU reported.

The incident occurred in the 1400 block of E. Dubail Street, on South Bend’s south side, WNDU reported.

WNDU reported that more details about the nature of the incident were unavailable as of Friday morning, but will be released if formal charges are filed.
